Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Then I rah rah in your direction that it leads to coffee or a drink and, if you get along, more. Plus, he likes your cookies.

Happy to report that I now have only 3 Christmas presents and a few cards left to buy. Today was very productive on the shopping front, and the mall was eerily uncrowded. Like, fewer people than I ever recall seeing in the food court. It's the first time I recall breaking off Christmas shopping because my bags were getting uncomfortably heavy rather than due to murderous frustration with my fellow shoppers.

I think I'm actually done shopping, even for stocking stuff. No, I need to figure out something for my dad. I'm considering Heifer International, just need to decide how much/what animal.

Goats are very popular.

Ugh, I still have to shop. I am in denial. Grinchy, grinchy denial.

I haven't really started Christmas shopping yet, and yes, I'm panicking about that.

I kind of have to put in an appearance at my work party tomorrow. I'm planning to wear a gray dress. Would teal tights and purple shoes be too much business on top and party on the bottom? Teal tights and a metallic heel?

The purple shoes are a dark suede, and look a bit boring with black tights.

I'd say teal and purple. But I should admit that, if I didn't wear a lot of gray, I'd maybe channel the Joker. Still, I think it'd work. Green things (I don't want to say "teal") and purple things totally contrast in a good way.

Because books.

I would just add something bright or a little funky up top, like earring or necklace or scarf.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Good on you, Matt. I am done with shopping, but contemplating a mall trip anyway. I don't think I can make it worthwhile to risk the murderous rage. I think just the trip to the area, which is unavoidable, is high enough risk.

I have jewelry that goes with the outfit, and a scarf as well, come to think of it. Thanks for validating my choices, you guys!
