this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Liese, I'm wishing you less stress and a healthy pup.

Pix! I had a dream last night that I was going to your school (sometimes I have dreams that I'm the age I am now, yet I have to go to school -- I don't want to know what my subconscious is trying to tell me), and I was SO EXCITED because you would be my teacher. (Also, as a new student at your school, part of getting my uniform was to go get handmade shoes. I have NO IDEA.)

Because books.

This porcupine is seriously the funniest thing ever. I had no idea they could make noises like that.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Easter stuff can't be out yet! The kid isn't even born yet!

They're planning ahead! Like Kate's June baby shower.

Because books.

If I see Easter stuff in the stores, I may cry. Shouldn't Valentine's Day come first? (Not NOW, but before Easter stuff.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jesus fuck. I'm freaked out by the porcupine noises. They will haunt me.

I'm taking today off sick. I need an adjustment in my migraine meds. Two ER visits without mitigation, no sleep, not coping.

Now tagless for your comfort.

He sounds like a Skeksis!

I went to the Y this morning to work out. Got there and realized I left my sneakers sitting in the garage.

Had to come back but I'm waiting for a reporter to call me for an interview so I can't go back until later.

Now tagless for your comfort.

A friend of mine posted a FB photo of her six year old daughter wearing: a pink ruffled skirt, a gray shirt with the bat signal inside a pink and white heart with "BATMAN" written underneath in pink, blue and white letters, gray stripey tights and a Cindy Lou Who straight-up pony tail.

This child is Buffista born, I swear.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oo, I love how that girl dresses, Cash. Franny's outfit today involved a kimono dress with a bright flower print over her red plaid pants. It looked quite fashionista, I was surprised.

And ita ! I'm so sorry to hear you feel so awful. I have a big meeting this am, but call or text me if you need me to pick something up for you in the afternoon.

Thanks, Burrell.

Unfortunately, I just realised that there's some stuff this morning that I'm the only one capable of doing at this short notice, so it's just a half day. Hmmph.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ugh. Matilda is still having discomfort when she pees. We went to the doctor four weeks ago for this and she had a UTI and she took antibiotics and it went away.

She was very not happy about taking the medicine multiple times a day ("It tastes like dragon snot!") but she did. All better!

Wrong. Five days later she's got a rash down there and it hurts to pee again.

Back to the doctor. New sample proves to be negative. No UTI. The antibiotic killed off the good flora and now she's got a yeast infection. We get a new antibiotic too while we wait for the culture to come back, take that for a couple days then stop on doctor's orders when its not a UTI. And we get a creme lotion for the yeast infection.

But now it hurts again when she pees. The crying on the potty. The yelping. It's saddening and mysterious. Is it a new UTI? Is it the yeast infection? My big hope for xmas is non-traumatic peeing.
