Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I can never remember. Do the Koch brothers own Charmin or Cottonelle?

Actually, I'm pretty sure they own Quilted Northern and Angel Soft. I hate the Charmin ads, but the product itself is pretty decent and it's owned by P&G, so you get the double goodness whammy of depriving the Koches of your money plus annoying the tiny handful of idiots who still think P&G is a Satanic company because of their old moon-and-stars logo. The cartoon bears make me want to scream, but marginally less so than the Koch brothers.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

This is the third rainy Tuesday in a row. That would be a minor annoyance if it weren't for the fact that Tuesday is trash and recycling day. Which means I get to drag wet trash cans/recycling bins in when I get home from work. Bleah.

(Yeah, I know. Kind of a first world problem)

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Browsing Amazon Fresh is strangely hypnotic. Pete is sick, and I'm not feeling that awesome myself, so I'm going to take advantage of living where I do and get groceries delivered to my door tomorrow.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

OMG, IO9 is on fire with weird gift ideas. I love this.

hip deep in pie

I've had a shit day, and I tried to shop my way out of my mood, but nada. Then I went to the Xmas tree lot nearest my house and asked, on the odd chance, if they deliver. And they do!! So my tree should arrive within the hour. It's kind of saved the day.

In what may seem like a complete and utter "diamond shoes are too tight" move, my coworkers and I filed a grievance with our union today because our new department is trying to change our earned day off schedule from every 2 weeks to every three weeks. If they had a a good reason for it, it would be one thing, but their only reason was to bring us in line with the rest of the dept. So late today, our boss' second in command booked meetings with us on Friday and Monday, my supervisor's and my earned days off, respectively. They were marked as busy in our calendars! I'm a little paranoid that they're trying to build a case against us.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Actually, I'm pretty sure they own Quilted Northern and Angel Soft.

Thank you JZ. I can never remember when I am at the store and hence usually just buy the store brand.

That chalkboard skull is beyond nifty. Who wouldn't want one?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Okay, has io9 always been covering pharmaceuticals and I've only now noticed? Because they're annoying me again. I wouldn't characterize any of those "moves" as "sleazy." Thankfully, it looks like the commenters are already making my points for me.

IO9 has always covered science and medicine, Polter.
