Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think Google is trying to protect me from a rage blackout - when I search Ben Stein under News, it gives me the TDS response instead of his original article.

[Hulu, OTOH, doesn't believe I'm in the United States. Which is understandable, given my IP address, but annoying.]

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Jessica,

if you are prone to a rage blackout, I would strongly recommend you not read Stein's bullshit.

The huffington post had a good article about Stein and a "French philosopher" who also defended DSK.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Google is being good to you.

not your mom's socks.

who also defended DSK.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

I heard about it from, I think, Ed Schultz. Which is a bit like seeing a football coach at a "Take Back The Night" rally, but he did put it on "Psycho Talk" where it belongs. I would never read Stein's byline...why should I? Anyone? Bueller? (Still takes 3 people to do Keith's job. Sigh. Ed's got the sporty bits, Rachel's smart and funny, and O'Donnell's East Coast and knows more people than you.)

So Firefox on this computer has a UK IP address, but IE appears to be in the US. Score!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

From Sullivan:

Another writes, "Thought you'd enjoy this FAQ by a college professor for his students on what do about final exams in the event of rapture." Money quote:

Q: If my mother/father/grandfather/grandmother/favorite aunt/etc. is chosen, will I be excused from the final so that I may mourn his/her loss?

A: No. They have not died, but been granted eternal life, thus this does not count as a case of a death in the family.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

I, personally, would find that kind of unexpected...not that I meant to call football coaches rapists...they're big, and dudely, and there are women with candles...
