Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

Because books.

New glasses or contacts always give me a headache for a day or two. Is it a new prescription?

Consuela, I thought you sounded fine, but I have to admit, I had no idea Consuela wasn't actually your name. Oops?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, it's a slightly higher prescription, I believe.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Wow, goodbye TT. That's a weird feeling.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Wow, TT will be gone.

I remember visiting the library to look up that Buffy show on the internets, and how TT was the first thing I found!

Qoute of the evening: "Wow, Mom, whale penises are amazing!" Thank you, David Attenborough, for making this parenting moment possible.

ION, how do you kill ants?

I'll put a plug in for diatomaceous earth: [link]

It's safe around pets. Spray it under baseboard, across thresholds, etc. Because it is a powder, it's messy, but effective. I put it around the perimeter of my basement, under the sink, baseboards. Sprinkled a little just last night on a writhing ant farm right outside my door and the colony is gooooone!

Loki had an hourlong "walk" tonight. He met Pooch. I don't think he's a fan. Pooch soo wanted to make friends, but Loki was rather riled. I could calm him down, however. And he got visits from three of his human neighbors, so he liked that....

Our wings are not tired.

Yup, just be sure to get the food-grade d.e. for use around the pets/humans. I sprinkle it liberally in my backyard to help control flies, etc from breeding. I also have no tick/flea/ant problems.

Ha, flea!!

That which does not kill you should RUN

So, it looks like I would get diatomaceous earth at a garden store, or maybe Home Depot?

I kind of want to get it just so I can say "diatomaceous earth."

Yep. I go to my local nursery to get it. I think you can get it at Home Depot but be careful because the big boxes also sell the non-food grade and that isn't suitable.

I got mine at Ace Hardware. They didn't have it on hand, but ordered it for me, and it proved so popular, they now carry it (it's a little neighborhood store.) Also is excellent for roaches.

It's made out of fossilized diatoms! Which I remember learning about in 10th grade biology.
