Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't even understand the purpose of updating your vm every day.

So they know we're alive? No, I think if you're not outward facing it's not a wise use of time.

So someone knows the messages are going somewhere? In theory if you're updating the VM you're also (a) there or not and (b) listening to your messages? But I'm terrible about updating VM...but everyone has my cell too, and can call that.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I don't even understand the purpose of updating your vm every day.

We used to have to do that at my old job. "This is Brenda, it is Thursday whatever whatever and I am/am not in the office today...."

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

That would be super annoying. But I pretty much answer the phone.

So, I discovered why it was so much hotter with my student in the office. She turned the fan away from me and toward her.

Am I wrong in thinking that is rude. I mean, wouldn't you say something like "So you mind if I move this so that we are both benefiting from the fan?"

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Sophia, that is totally rude! Sheesh.

I agree, totally rude.

information libertarian

So, if you have a nice phone call with the Branch Chief at the office you've applied for a job at, and she says she'll call your current Branch Chief, and your current Branch Chief comes in 2 hours later and says you should be hearing from HR within the week, and shakes your hand in a most positive fashion, that's good, right?

This is the mr. flea job in Cincinnati he didn't initially make the interview pool cut.

Trying not to count my chickens before they're hatched, but - woot!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

On the FDA story, I remember reading a book called The Accidental Investment banker, and they had a reference to the Security Exchange Commission. I... Couldn't read more than ten pages after that. Not that everyone knows that's wrong, but that's your primary regulator! If you don't instantly know that's not the name, what kind of care did you take with this book?
