Because books.

Yeah, it may be considered old school now, but I expect to be able to understand the whole piece by reading just the text on the current page. I'm like brenda -- I may open links later, but not in the middle of the article I'm reading now.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I like the site too! I was just really missing something. I thought for a second they were comparing different ways women could be strong- from Buffy (physical strength) to Tara (from Buffy), who had a very strong emotional backbone.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Absolutely. If you can't maintain your message on one screen in your own words, you're doing a poor job. Hypertext should be an enhancement, not a requirement.

Still confused by the nonwhite thing. And I didn't check the comments to see if anyone corrected her fundamental comics error--it's kind of annoying to have someone get on the Batgirl outrage wagon when they clearly are not in the fandom, nor can be bothered to do basic fact-checking.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, that's super-sloppy. I mean, come on.

Because books.

There was only one comment there when I opened it. Praising the author, in fact.

This is the sort of thing that promotes an SJ backlash.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Here's the blurb on the front of Emmett's high school (Albany High):

We may all live within one square mile, but the Albany High School student body is one of the most diverse in the state. Where else can you find a population that is 39% Asian, 35% White, 13% Hispanic, 7% African-American... and with 95% of all students going on to four-year or community college? The dropout rate is less than 2%! Albany High students love this place and it shows.

I hadn't realized we placed so many kids in college. I'm not entirely surprised since it's a top rated school and academically challenging and it's a very upper middle class neighborhood, but that's still pretty high.
