I do have a fan, but I have to bring it back and forth as it is also my fan for home! Luckily it is fairly small.
It is definitely getting cooler because I put the fan in the window to bring in the air, but now it is not blowing on me, so sort of a trade off.
I wish I still had a boss, because I am pretty sure she would just let me work from home. The next step up is the Dean, who is also on vacation.

Frankly, I just would, as I am technically "professional salaried staff", however the way our building is set up is that there are 6 or 7 people of the same level as I am, who totally can't leave because their bosses are here, working in the offices right next to me! They would be PISSED if I just left.
I would go home. They can just be pissed. They'll get over it.

Chicago is going to change the color of its street lights and it won't glow from space anymore. (My father used to call those orange lights "riot lights" - anyone else hear them called that or was that my da's special craxy?)
