I do have a fan, but I have to bring it back and forth as it is also my fan for home! Luckily it is fairly small.
It is definitely getting cooler because I put the fan in the window to bring in the air, but now it is not blowing on me, so sort of a trade off.
I wish I still had a boss, because I am pretty sure she would just let me work from home. The next step up is the Dean, who is also on vacation.

Frankly, I just would, as I am technically "professional salaried staff", however the way our building is set up is that there are 6 or 7 people of the same level as I am, who totally can't leave because their bosses are here, working in the offices right next to me! They would be PISSED if I just left.
I would go home. They can just be pissed. They'll get over it.
