Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Consuela, mr. flea heard today that the efforts of the hiring team to get the pool expanded beyond the initial 3 people referred were successful, and he's been referred as well! So now they can choose to interview him if they want (and boy do I hope they do.) Is this something that could work for your position? From what I understand the boss of the open position asked to have a larger number than 3 referred (I think 5).

Oh, that's excellent news, flea! I hope it works out--and I'm sure they'll interview, because they won't have bothered to keep him in the loop if not.

I may ask HR if there's a reason they're going by 3 instead of 5....

hwæt

Apparently, because his skill set is not what his position needs in the long term.

What!? Have they not seen the "Mathter and Fervent" episode of Kim Possible?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Have been covered in cat fur. I don't mind that so much, but the constant attempts to test gravity with stuff from my desk is annoying.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I have come to have a conversation.

Soooo, how is everyone doing?

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm breathing a little easier but it's still not completely figured out. I'm not sure if he'll be able to work from here (and drive to Madison once or twice a week) or if we'll have to move there (although that thought doesn't bother me at all).

I'm just pissed that it took two years of DH being miserable in his job before they figured out how they fucked up. He seriously had no choice but to take the position they put him in--and the guy that forced him into it got canned a few months ago. That is why I feared the worst.

I have come to have a conversation.

Just got back from RollerCon in Las Vegas. Far fewer uncomfortable conversations in the hotel elevator than TAM.

Um, ok I guess. Needing a massage. Wanting work to be less crazy. Wanting hot people to be more existent, and more into me. Being glad I have a job and not some of the travails other buffistas are having.

I just made a parachute for a Lego minifigure out of fabric and twine for Olivia. It worked!

Stressed about job hunting, writing, and impending kitten adoption. But one of my friends just dropped off a box of cupcakes, which makes my day a LOT better
