Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Seriously. I'm not going to do it every day, but a couple days every now and again? Om to the nom om nom! I will eat fruit with lunch.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

You're never too old for chocolate at anytime.

I'm only working a half-day today, thank Dog!! My boss is out next week, so I won't be able to take any other time off until I leave for my brother's wedding on the 18th. I'm working until 1:30 (didn't get in until 9:30), heading over for a swim (pool closes at 3:00, so I'll be swimming until then--last night's swim was packed with four of us in one lane, so I only did a half-mile before I bailed; today's swim will be longer to make up for that), then heading home and shoving the cat into her carrier so I can take her to the vet for claw-trimming.

I was going to head over to the apartment complex's pool to get some sun, but won't have the time until this weekend. I have to get some color on my legs before the wedding, so I've got to get over there on Saturday.

Oh, and I decided to try on some of the pants I got from my mom back in April. The size 20T jeans I couldn't even get past my thighs, so that was a big fail--I'll try those again in about 15 pounds. When I was putting them back on the hanger, the black pants they were sharing the hanger with looked a bit bigger to me, so I glanced at the tag. Since they were 20W and cut more generously, I figured it wouldn't hurt to try them on. Well, I'm wearing them right now, and it is FG!!! (I did have to unsnap them after finishing my breakfast [a few grapes, a hardboiled egg, and two sausage links], but they fit fine otherwise.)

You may be too old for a cupcake, honestly.

Thrive to spite them

The whole G+ thing annoys me regarding real names. What annoys me even more is the idea that people using real names on line somehow will make things more civil.

I get the feeling some people want Real Names Only on places like blogs, newspaper comments, G+ and others because they feel since you can't actually see someone in person using a Real Name is the next best thing. And it's not just Real Names, linking Facebook accounts to comments means people have access to more vastly more personal information than is given out In Real Life encounters.

Yes having a face to face conversation or being in a group in real life and talking versus online is different. But that doesn't mean you know everyone's name or that everyone is being honest or civil.

But how old is too old, medically, for choco-brekkie?

Never.

I have all kinds of work to do today and am actually motivated, but, wow, am I scattered. My to-do list even ended up kind of free-form. It was supposed to organize my thoughts, not visually represent how swirly and random they are. I need structure!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

It's so nice to have a dog who isn't afraid of the vet. Dropped TNG off for her tooth extraction this morning and sauntered into the office at the leisurely hour of 9:30. Wish I could do that every day, although the down side is that there were no more donuts in the cafeteria by then.

ION, I talked to HR yesterday and they said I'm number 4 on the list. They have to pick from the first three, but they're trying to check if the top 3's resumes actually support their stated qualifications. If one of them maybe misrepresented their experience, I'm in. If not, I dunno what happens.

Stressful!

Geez, Consuela. Am sending good thoughts your way. Stressful, indeed.
