Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Trust my rage

I need to drive up to Denver today (85 miles). While I do it all the time, I usually try to get several things done at once so it doesn't feel like such a heavy travel investment. Today I just have one thing that I said I would do but don't really want to do.

ION, do we have any buffistas sort of near the Oraange COunty airport? I'm going to be there next Thursday for work but I don't have a sense of the area or if I'll have enough time to have lunch or something.

not your mom's socks.

re: Google+, I wonder if this is a clash of cultures.

le Nubian, I think you've hit a good point. A friend who teaches undergrads says it feels like the sixties again with regards to online identity: "don't trust anyone with an alt."

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Stephanie, I was thinking about you this morning because they were reporting on a woman who went into labor during the bar exam (and finished, to be clear). (The exam, not the labor.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am happy I can tell mac that Jesse is farty mcfart fart for the day, such a weight off my shoulders. YOU'RE WELCOME!

NO SIR! It was the other kind of gas. Mostly.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

brenda, I heard that; she finished the exam, then a proctor walked her to a nearby hospital (boggle).

Trust my rage

I heard about that! I actually made a comment somewhere else that what she did is really impressive, period. But I also think it was a sort of easy decision. You spend 6 weeks studying 8 hours a day for the bar and it is never more in your head that right after graduation. So to walk away and leave all that knowing that you would have to come back in Feb and do it all again (probably $800 for the test plus a review class) with a very young infant would be even harder.

(Not that I ever want to take the bar exam while in labor.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I suspect her opponents in court aren't going to be successful at distracting her with theatrics.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Read that story, and one of the comments or lines was something like "...try to tell HER that motherhood makes women conflicted politicians" or something like.

I snerked pretty hard.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ms little i ita, don't you talk about white people being up in everywhere like it's a bad thing. Why you trying to keep us down?

And you just don't wash OFF!

Today's brownie cupcake has oreo topping. Less gross than I was expecting.

Yesterday dragonfly shoes. Today dragon shoes. Tomorrow, my shoes will be fly.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I wondered why she didn't delay the bar until February until I read she had two clerkships already lined up -- district and sixth circuit. Sigh. Screw her.
