Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Fuck that, though. Of course you should be happy to have a job, but that doesn't mean they are treating you like shit and jerking you around.

Man, I just had delicious clam chowder for dinner, made by my grandmother, but it reminds me why I haven't had hot food for dinner in months.

Basically to the extent "Goyim" is not perjorative, it is because it has evolved in use. It is derived from the Yiddish for "cattle". So originally it was Jews calling non-Jews "cattle". And then it got used so much that it is not always intended perjoratively. But it definitely is perjorative in origin.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

No it's not. It's the Hebrew word for "nations."

The status is NOT quo.

Fuck that, though. Of course you should be happy to have a job, but that doesn't mean they are not treating you like shit and jerking you around.

What Jesse said.

Jesse is very wise.

Pix! I'm so glad you're having a wonderful trip.

So, when was the next Onerous Task Day? Can I claim today as mine? I applied for unemployment, sent off two emails about job leads, posted a new book discussion post on Gothic Charm School, and am writing a new advice post. And tonight I'm going to work on making things to sell at the Mourning Market event.

Um, what I said, except the opposite! Please to add the word "NOT" between "they are" and "treating you like shit." Ta!

Wow. I can't believe that I was taught an old myth. Learned that young.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Consuela,

you know your business, but 7 months can go by pretty quickly. Might you look around soon anyway? It might take you awhile to find another job if this one doesn't come through.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My poor downstairs neighbor. She just went with her son (who has some issues) to have his puppy put to sleep because the son had not gotten the proper vaccinations and the puppy had the parvo virus. She was just beside herself and said she needed to tell someone who loved animals too. I even hugged her (and I am a NO HUG ZONE), but she was just so sad. She went in with the puppy for the injection.
