I'm having so much trouble planning and booking my vacation. For some reason I just get bogged down in details. Maybe I should just go to an actual travel agent?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't know, but I'm daydreaming a SoCal trip for the fall to see my friend's new (upcoming) baby and my grandmother et al., and just realized/learned I could take Amtrak between Orange County and San Deigo!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Peoples, I spotted a bacon bloody mary at brunch yesterday

I have had bacon bloody marys and they are verra tasty.

Hey, all! Been away at the 'rents and had no internet access. Before that, was busy with my summer camp. I now have a couple of weeks off before the semester starts and trying (unsuccessfully) to catch up.

My sister works there! What broke you?

ChiKat! We must get together while you have some time off before school starts back up. Email me and let me know if you have a weekend day free sometime soon!

sarameg, definitely keep trying the stuff at the Uzbek place. I love my local restaurant, but didn't discover my favorite foods until I'd been there several times.

Balls.

The telecon I scheduled for this morning is beginning to look ugly. I am NOT looking forward to this.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We have someone on our team with no last name. It's very weird.

We have a business user with the same last name as me. I have a very normal last name, but not one I encounter very often, even in my own family. We have formed a little clique.

After a really good migraine day yesterday, I have suddenly been struck with some really bad pain today. What did I do to deserve this? My teeth hurt.

I try, I try. But sometimes, I am forced. I have no idea how the chick on our team manages. I mean, she legally doesn't have one. I am envious.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

For some reason yesterday I was trying to think of fandom where the car is important.

Life on Mars?

We have moved! Mostly. We're having professional movers come this afternoon to move the furniture to the new place, but everything else, including the cats, has been moved over. We had several awesome friends come and help us out yesterday, even though it was 95 degrees and humidity in the 70s. Ugh. But the work went fairly quickly, and I LOVE our new place. I'm sad to be at work today -- I just want to be home unpacking stuff!
