It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Shrift, sounds like you saw a LOT, and some great plays as well! I saw some Tom Stoppard when I was in London a while back, but it was one of the plays about mid-19th-century anarchists, and pretty much impossible to follow. I'd have rather seen R&GAD.

ION, I visited with my mother, clipped the dog's nails, did some of their laundry, went to the grocery store (OMG the TJ's in Lafayette is nearly empty at 2 pm on Saturday, I love it so), and started some laundry. And I napped.

Now I need to feed the dog and pay some bills and make dinner.

Because books.

shrift, that sounds awesome. I have a jealous.

ita, that bites. Definitely schedule that scan. Did they do an ultrasound when they ruled it out before?

I wrote today. And showered, and picked up the house a little, and wrote some more. Then we went to dinner at my parents' for my dad's birthday, and now I am Full of Cake.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

shrift,

I am seriously jealous. I'm glad you are having fun.

ita, Amy is asking the questions I was going to ask. The hospital told me the only way they can definitively test for gall bladder problems (prior to seeking removal) is to do this crazy test where you drink (?) something and they use a big machine to see if the liquid passes through your GB normally. Ultrasounds can indicate size, but this test shows if the stone is impeding your digestion process.

Apparently a majority of us have GB stones, and for most people they don't bother them.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Didn't they tell ND he didn't have gall bladder problems before finally finding something?

Because books.

Mine was inflamed or something, so I'm pretty sure the doctor just palpated mine. Although I guess they did something else, too. It's been so long, it's hard to remember. I was only 21, too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's ridiculous pain. Beats most of the migraines hands down. I can't think to move during it, and none of my painkillers touch it. It's just that when I don't have it, I get complacent that it can't have been that bad, and it won't happen again. Monday I will make the appointment.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey Tom and Liese -- you guys submitted the same awesome thing! From two different sources. So I split the difference, which you'll see in the morning, but that's why I deleted both submissions. FYI.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I've never had gall bladder problems but this sounds like the descriptions I've heard from people who have.

Because books.

Yeah, I remember blinding pain and nausea. The gall bladder can be a fairly nasty little organ for something almost useless.

The Good Things entry from today with the little girl is adorable.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm getting ready to meet Perkins and Plei.

I encourage you to make out with both of them. Then get really drunk and take pictures and post them to social websites.

Waterloo Station,

Did you sing "Waterloo Sunset" under your breath?

Victoria and Albert Museum,

They have the coolest fashion collection. What were they showing?
