Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That toenail clipper is NASTY. Who wants to deal with someone else's toenail detritus?

Kat, that ticket is ABSURD, even worse than running a red light, and that's a moving violation. I would fight it.

Are you still at UCLA?

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

The Food Network has a job listing up that I would be perfect for...in Knoxville. Sigh.

But then you'd only be four hours from Nashville!! Go for it!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Kate! Would you and DH be interested in doing this when you're in Cincy: [link] It dovetails nicely with your itinerary, because it takes place in Over-the-Rhine.

If yes, I'll grab tickets, because they're a Groupon special right now ($10 a person instead of $20).

Ooh, I think we would! That sounds awesome, and the Groupon makes it even better. Thank you! I'm assuming you don't need to know the specific date/time of the tour you want when you buy the Groupon, right? Also, can I PayPal you the money now, or should I send you a check?

bon bon that's very weird. Also, gross if there is anyone walking below.

I think they should make a SyFy movie about the Mangorine.

I somehow picture this as a horrible thing about a Latina superheroine, which ends up all over the blogosphere as racist. ...I have no idea why that came into my head. Also, "Mangorine" sounds like a mix between a tangerine and a mango, to me, rather than a nectarine. Even though I eat lots more nectarines than tangerines. ...these words are losing all meaning.

I agree that parking on a human (or maybe like, on top of a fountain in the middle of campus?) would warrant a $500 ticket. Not much else. Nothing that would resemble a normal parking job at all, even if over time or in front of a fire hydrant or something.

Mangorine vs. Nectarango!!!!

Love!

So cute.

TBH I don't pay much attention to plot points in Castle: it's a fluffy show for me, and I don't think about it much.

I used to feel that way, but shit got kinda real this season. Especially the finale.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Mangorine vs. Nectarango!!!!

Two fruits enter, one smoothie leaves?

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Are you still at UCLA?

I am.

I had Grace with me on campus today and dropped her and Katie off at Medical Center. They were walking back across campus to meet me. But because I used the handicap placard when she wasn't in "proximity" to the car, they confiscated the tag and gave me a $508 ticket PLUS another $58 for not paying for the space (though I had).

GROWL. Katie took the kids over to parking right now.

The people who gave me the ticket wouldn't tell me their names!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

smonster, that first bag looks really promising.

Kat, that's ludicrous. If they're coming to you, the proximity just hasn't happened yet!
