That's my girl, large and in-charge. Okay, teensy-weensy and in charge.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The 405 is not that bad in a world with the 101.

Saddest movie ever. Not sure I've seen it.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I thought I had seen it, until I saw the scene in question and I gasped at how much sorrow was evident on the screen. Holy shit. If I had seen that whole movie and had been confronted with THAT as the final scene? I would have been done in. Just done in. No more tissues in the house.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Saddest movie ever. Not sure I've seen it.

I love that the comments are all about Up instead.

Thrive to spite them

I watched the clip from The Champ and I cried but Rick Schroder did a really good acting job.

This inspired me to watch So Proudly We Hail, which gets me going every time and I'm about to get to the first par that makes me cry.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Some time ago one of the government agency cafeterias became so notorious for its bad food that it was being called the Alfred Packer (Parker?) cafeteria

That was Stan Weston, my dad's best friend! My mom met his wife Sue while they were working at Headstart and they have been friends ever since. He worked as press secretary at the Department of Ag at the time, [link] (scroll down) He had an official club called the "Alferd E Packer Society" with membership cards and everything,of which I was a junior member. Stan died at 50. He was a very cool guy. Sue and my mom were partners in the used bookstore for many years. I grew up with the Westons and Sue and her new husband live right down the block from my mom.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am a known cry-er, but that did not tear me up much. Unlike that dog episode of Futurama.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Unlike that dog episode of Futurama.

Oh man, I can't even watch that.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I frankly think the AVEN guy is also a tool, and that they should just have an enormous tool cage match, but that's just me.
