"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Amy, no. I have not friended anyone today. Why?

Amy - Jul 26, 2011 4:35:02 pm PDT #18184 of 30001
Because books.

I saw you talking about +, and then someone I don't know friended me, but there were other Buffista connections, so I guessed. Sorry!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yay home and a break in the schedule for Mr Kitty.

If I'm pretending to be a lesbian with someone to hand, I get handsy. It's not that the person who needs to be convinced signeup for a big show, but I figure some cuddling and some fondling and maybe some kissing gets the point across properly, right?

Are you trying to convince a watcher or the person you are handsy-ing?

I think I am reading Buffista tumblrs. I'm not sure whose and I don't even care to try and find out but if this person isn't on b.org, they should be. ... I just realized that if I post this, I can't start subtly following them. Curses. My subtlety is forfeit.

Art Crawl!!!

I just logged into lj on my home computer and I believe I've been there at work sometime recently. (Chrome both places.)

There are actually a couple of wood framed victorian farmy houses near me that are undergoing renov and fresh paint. One I pass daily still has a creamy yellow main, but with a deep, bright purple trim and all the detail lacey bits are being detailed nicely. The other is one we pass on the way to market. It was in foreclosure for forever, with half the siding off (clearly an interrupted job.) About 3 months ago, the yard was cleared and then every week, there's something new! It's a light sage with deep, plum purple trim now, and they're doing neat stuff with the lacework. Always see hoards of vaguely scruffy arty looking young folk out working on it Saturday mornings. They've removed and reinstalled and repainted the porch railings and replaced the porch floor, and I know put in new (nice, I saw them delivered) cabinets. And they refinished this fantastic mantle (know cause they did it out front.) Clearly a shitton of work they are doing themselves with friends.

Something like that has to be a labor of love, not a flip.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Just general fake lesbianning, Amy, prompted by some lame stuff on TV.

LJ is randomly up and down for me.. Very frustrating.

As was my pain specialist. He's officially given up with me. Says there's nothing he can do, it's all up to the migraine specialists now.

A watcher.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

For dessert, I made homemade lavender syrup and mixed it with sugar and sour cream, and it all went on top of angel food cake. Fear me.

This seems wrong. Perhaps you should contact Oliver Sacks? Or House?

After the house talk, I was looking at properties in New Orleans, which still seem expensive to me. Then I looked in Detroit. It must be bad there, because I could buy a house for, like $3,500. Someone needs to start an arts commune there or something.
