I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

He's a shade darker than Loki when I got him, yay browny tabbies! [link] Ears are smaller so maybe he will be a smaller cat than the Lokis. Very cute!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Aww, I'd forgotten how totally Loki-like Loki was from a very young age!

Because books.

Mycroft! Love. He looks so much like Switch at that age!

Actually, this is my favorite shot of baby Switch.

May Mycroft not suffer from gluttony and get a woggle. And he's got very pretty eyeliner.

Kitty!

I have the weirdest biological clock. I look at babies and go "Yeah, it's a kid, so what?", but I look at kittens and my innards go "Want!"

I love that my friend and neighbor called to check on me, see if there was anything she could do, offering to shop or drink with me. I hit gold buying here, it's given me an incredible support network I never expected.

Loki is STILL playing with his favorite (sunbleached neon green, tailless and eyeless) mouse. Maybe he'll lose some weight.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I think one reason I love cats is that they are baby sized and they purr. Totally stimulates and satisfies my maternal instinct.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sarameg, in re: cat toys under the stove, I used duct tape to create a "skirt" under the exposed edges of the stove. It's sturdy enough to repel batted toys, but it doesn't completely block air or cleaning.

Guys, I can't recommend pet insurance enough. It's not something one really thinks about, but when the pets start racking up the vet bills, it's a great thing to have. The insurance for both cats for three years cost me less than that one trip to the emergency vet when I thought Leo was really sick.

Me too! You may be weird, but you are not alone.

Soon-to-be-Mycroft looks exceptionally intelligent! Good kitty.

We just got pet insurance--or at least a medical plan--for Shadow through his vet. Free shots! Considering one of Shadow's neighborhood playmates is a skunk--yes, a real skunk--his shots need to be up to date.

Hubby has looked outside of an evening and seen Shadow playing tag with another black fuzzy creature, but one with a white stripe down its back. They actually chase each other back and forth across the yard.

Me too! You may be weird, but you are not alone.

We are legion!
