Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

Trust my rage

Anyone else watching the Tour this morning? I spent $5 to watch it streaming and I realize how much I missed it

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I will catch the 11:30 rerun of the Tour stage today, so no spoilers, please! After that, I will totally burble about it. The last few days have been really something.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

apparently the man in Norway killed 90 on the island itself. He was shooting for 2 hours.

Holy... I don't even know what to say. That's just awful. Jesus, those poor kids.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a question that's primarily for Steph: Is there any reason Ambien CR should work worse than normal Ambien? I swear I'm getting less sleep with it than before.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Your body might not like it. I know that's not a science-y answer, but it's just a weird pharmacological thing that some drugs (or some formulations of drugs) do not play well with some people.

It's possible that because it's a CR formulation, which means it releases drug in a continuous manner, that you aren't getting *enough* drug when you need it. Like, maybe you need more at the beginning of your sleep cycle, but since the CR formulation doles it out over a span of time, you aren't getting enough.

That's just a guess, though. I'm sure you are far from alone. It's so frustrating that a given drug won't work the same in different people.

Ugh. Thanks. I switched over to it hoping it would get me to sleep through the night better, but I'm not, even slightly. And falling asleep is difficult unless I exhaust myself. And it has more active ingredients than the normal Ambien I was on.

I don't even want to bother finishing this bottle. I want to go back to my old prescription.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

ita, my MiL had the same problem with the CR so it's definitely not just you.

That bombing/shooting in Norway is making me feel sick. Apart from the heartache of thinking about the loss of so many lives, especially so many young lives, I am so scared that someone is going to think it's a good idea and try to do it here. Which is a creepy level of paranoia. I know. I am trying to repress it.

Jesus, they just found Amy Winehouse dead in her apartment.

Compassionately intolerant

I just learned from Fay, via Twitter, that Amy Winehouse has died.

Shocking, but not surprising.
