You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

How could one person kill 80 people? What kind of gun did he have? That doesn't seem possible. Jesus.

It boggles the mind. We had a shooter in Tassie in the 90s, killed 35 people at a tourist spot. That's over 10% of our usual annual murder rate, in one incident. It made a huge impact here. I can only guess how this'll affect Norway.

He called a lot of them together before he opened fire -- they thought he was a policeman; they'd already heard about the bombing. And, well, then they were on an island.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Yeah and he apparently shot quite a few who were in the water - trying to make it to the mainland.

What a tragedy.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Facebook has taken down his page, but there are copies floating about. People who've tracked down his comments online report his views as far right, anti-government, anti-Islam and anti-immigrant. In other words, he seems to be a Norwegian McVeigh.

Yeah, I just saw that on the NYTimes site, that it was 80. That's awful, and huge numbers, so much bigger than they were saying earlier. And yet, is it really terrible that I"m kinda relieved it's a Norwegian guy, instead of Al Qaeda or something?

In other random news, this fresh bread is delicious, and my obsession with Nutella continues apace.

I wanted to buy some Nutella at the store the other day and told myself no...and ended up buying this chocolate hazelnut "milk" instead. It...tastes like chocolate hazelnut milk. I want to try putting it in my coffee.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I so wish we had Universal Health Care. I keep thinking that if it could be framed so that a) parents could have more time with children and/or that b) people could be more independent and be able to start their own businesses that perhaps we cold convince conservatives, but I think the atmosphere is too riled up for logical thinking.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I love that stuff.

To market, to market, to buy a fresh...spinach?

That was a quick trip! Spinach, orange teeny tomatoes, empanada, methley plums. Sky became very menacing, thunder and creepy clouds! So I guess I'm not going swimming yet. Catnap time!

Mosquito bite on my toe, maddening.
