We occasionally do the A/c in one room for another. We also hung curtains on tension rods. One curtain separates the bedrooms and bathroom from the living room and another the separates the kitchen from the den. It shocks me how much a difference it makes in terms of keeping the heat out of the living room to use the curtains!

Today is going to be bad, weatherwise. It was already severely gross at 5:30. I'm just going to pretend it isn't as much as I can.

Yeah, they're talking about 101F around here today, before adding in all the heat index stuff. I'm working from home, and I plan to leave my air conditioned cave to go to the mailbox and go upstairs to visit my neighbor for a Torchwood viewing, and that's it.

It's supposed to be 103 here in Maine today. This is ridiculous weather. Maine is supposed to be where people go to get away from the heat.

I've been using Netflix streaming at work to watch stuff on the treadmill It's great for some things, like Luthor or Archer, but for some reason doesn't work for others, like Arrested development or Sportsnight.

There has been a bombing in Oslo. Looks like the prime minister's office was the target.

Holy crap! I hope the deaths and injuries were as minimal as possible. Norway caught people involved in an al-Qaeda bomb plot about a year ago. [link] I wonder if this is related.
