Gavin, ask yourself this question. What are you more afraid of, a giant murderous demon or me?

Because books.

This is not a news item, I hope.

The apes are probably hoping, though.

Our wings are not tired.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Scola,

I haven't turned on CNN all day, so I am thrilled that this was not a news item. I keep putting that movie out of my mind, so I really should have made the connection.

I want to know how the millions of us in this country with opposable thumbs could really feel threatened by a league of apes.

Because they seem more like they could get something done than Congress?

Trust my rage

Every time I see girls being awesome at sports, I can't help but think about that little girl hitting the baseball at the end of Buffy and feel inspired.

I've had such a progressive day. I signed a petition to put "tax and regulate marijuana" on the ballot here. (My brother is working on the initiative.) And I took the kids to Pride here today and they LOVED all the color.

In totally unrelated news, my SIL gave me pinkeye and it feels like someone punched me in the eye. (Some sort of strain that likes adults because none of our 4 kids got it. Just me and my brother and her.)

That is perfect! At least something good comes from looking like this.
