I used to be able to go a work day without peeing. I'm not that bad anymore--I try and force fluids down, but I really really don't pee that much. And it tends to be a very binary proposition. I need to go, and I do, or I can't go. So I pretty much never deliver for testing. When they ask for pee for a pregnancy test before giving me pain meds--ha! I peed before I showed up. Because I had to and was hopping up and down with the need and couldn't wait until I got there. It was non-negotiable. And then I'm done for hours and hours.

I drink (and pee!) a lot now, but I almost never used the bathrooms in my high school, so I feel you.

I generally drink a lot of water right before I have to do any kind of pee test. If it's not possible I hope for the best.

The doctor-induced pee tests are without warning, and usually early in the morning, so no go. I would never risk holding it for an ER visit because those are so unpredictable. I have never ingested fludi in order to induce peeing soon and had it work.

It's a simple thing, right, that most women will look best with their narrowest point outlined? Why is that so hard? Surely I can get pants that go near my waist that don't look like mom pants. Maybe not. But Ann Taylor Loft, for instance, doesn't sell any pants that hit at the waist. But they barely sell pants that fit me, much as everything else works pretty well. I think maybe I have a longer rise than average.

My cat's in her cat condo six feet in the air, and she's sleeping so hard that she's snoring. It's so frickin' adorable!

The Orthodox internet rumor mill is filled with all kinds of stuff about Leiby and the man who's accused of killing him, but I have no idea how much of it is true. Most persistent rumor is that the man had been accused of being inappropriate with children before, but the rabbis dealt with it within the community rather than getting the police involved.
