I avoid Coke or anything else caffeinated on planes. I want to stay relaxed.
I tend to go with OJ.

I prefer hot drinks on planes, but not ones with caffeine. Which means I usually need to bring my own.
I'm working from home right now (AIFG). While I usually work from home on Wednesdays, they're doing office reno in my area right now, so I was able to come home at noon yesterday, and I'll probably be able to stretch it out through tomorrow. I've gotten a ton of work done, as well as a bunch of background housework (running the dishwasher, putting the shower curtain liner through the washing machine, etc.). Not that the latter's a selling point for my bosses, but it makes my life easier.
Anyone that thinks red and black are a bad mix are probably suggesting colour combinations that are not an expansion of my style, but more likely just not my style.
stands with ita
I cannot wrap my head around the idea that black and red are a bad color combination.
Just got back from my restocking trip to the grocery store. $115--ouch! But, I now have things in my freezer that will last me several weeks, which is good. I decided to toss those sausages on the recommendation of the butcher; he said I could try and risk it, but if it were him, he'd pitch them, so I did.
Now I must do some work for a few hours, at least. I'll be working from home again tomorrow if the power isn't up by then.

why, that's like saying black and pink are a bad color combination!
Huh.
I've been bickering with T-Mobile over problems my (warrantied) phone was having. After much discussion, they finally agreed to send me a replacement. Which was broken. So then they sent another one.
As background, I have all packages sent to my work address since my postal carrier can't reliably deliver things to the right block, let alone address, and doesn't leave notices. One the first phone they sent, they sent it to my name at the building address. Which is an 80 story building with a gazillion companies. Fortunately, we manage the building so it got to me anyway. On the second phone, I asked them to make sure to include my company name. Which they did. And sent the phone to Company Name, Address. WITHOUT MY NAME. And it arrived while I was out on PTO. So yeah, after much digging with various people, that phone will never be seen again.
I called to bitch them out on Monday and they said they would "look into it." And just now, I got a text message that seems to suggest that they are actually sending me out a third replacement without fighting about it. Did we have an apocalypse and I didn't notice?

Wow, that's impressive. When UPS left my T-Mobile phone on the doorstep and it got stolen, T-Mobile tried to claim that I would have to wait six weeks to get it replaced--just in case I was trying to defraud them, you see.
I think the T&S's stance on black derives more from an overcorrection of the default to black than anything about actual combinations that work. If you stay within your palette, most colors within it will work together. So, if black works for you, so do true red and bright pink.

Right? That's pretty much what I was expecting, especially since it took a while to discover the problem and report it to them.
