Glad your new job is working out, msbelle! Not-crazy is such a relief.
Have a blast in Vegas at TAM, Allyson!
JZ, that's fantastic!
humourlessbitchesmoviereview.com, here we come! But seriously. It would be from the least amused PoV possible, because sometimes you want that.
We should totally do that. It's an important service we'd be providing.
I'm strangely un-excited. Much like megan a couple of days ago, I'm not willing to actually believe in it until the formal offer comes. Though it will, no question--the new boss-to-be spent years teasing me about how he was going to steal me away from Beloved!Ex-Boss the first chance he got, and once he hears that I'm on the verge of being hired he will pitch an epic shit fit at any bureaucratic bullshit that gets in the way. So it'll happen. It just won't happen until it actually does.
Ack! A little sliver of actual excitement just stabbed through. I have to go find Beloved!Ex-Boss tomorrow and smish him to bits.
Oh JZ! I'm so incredibly excited for you!

Truly. I'd bookmark it. It's one of those things that I wish I didn't feel was needed, but I do.
So in vintage clothing news (which is the only kind of news I seem to have lately) this lady I know who sells vintage clothes out of her house asked me if I would list some things on Etsy for her, in exchange for a 30% cut. I said yes, thinking she'd give me ten or fifteen things.
She gave me 50. I don't even know where to START.
Today I had a craving for a bumper sticker that said
got slash?
And then I regained my sanity. But I still kinda want the shirt.
JZ, that is awesomecakes with awesome sauce!

The real question is, don't these things come in threes? Which other Bayista is going to have a job dropped in their lap?
My cellphone just rang... it was Beloved!Ex-Boss, who's going out of town for a 3-day outreach clinic in Ukiah and Eureka, and wanted to check in before he left to see if I'd talked to anyone and how it had gone.
How fortunate was I that day all those years ago when the temp agency called and asked if I knew enough about Macs to help out in his office the following Monday?

Sadly, I can think of multiple candidates for either job-getting or job-bettering. The crap economy can start de-crappitating any minute now, really.
