Zoe: Don't think it's a good spot, sir. She still has the advantage over us. Mal: Everyone always does. That's what makes us special.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Damn, I need to find somewhere to watch some of these games.

eta, wait, was that the final? Dammit, I am so out of it.

HOLY SHIT.

Spoilers: WE WON! Exactly the same way as the 1999 China-US game, which was exactly 12 years ago today! WOW.

There have been a bunch of great games in this World Cup, but that was astonishing. Some fantastic playing, marred by a couple of truly lousy referee calls.

Also, is new job the one we'd talked about?

Sadly, no, because that was my total dream job, but this one's pretty darn good. I'll post details tomorrow once I've dropped off my signed offer letter.

I just now talked to the HR person about some final details. I chickened out about asking for more $$ to make up for reduced benefits, but since they had already upped my PTO by 4 days to match my vacation days now, I figured I was being greedy (since this job is at least 35% more $$ and likely 50% with bonuses factored in), even though I feel one should probably always try to negotiate the offer up.

(If anybody here remembers who is behind this font - it's been such a forever since I've actually posted...)

But even if you don't remember any of me, I believe this would be just as delightful (not that I'm prejudiced or anything, of course):

Again, I apologize that all the captions are in Hebrew - I hardly found the time to upload the pictures (I wanted them uploaded today, because it's his four-months birthday, according to the Hebrew calendar).

Oh, and if anybody has e-mailed me at my profile address - I'm totally not ignoring you! I just don't get to check e-mail as often as I would like (or even way less often than I'd like). If anything is urgent, I check my gmail account more often (especially since it's my work mail).

Hmm, should I post how much I miss you guys? Well, yes, yes, I would, because it doesn't stop being true.

And with that, poof, I'm gone (he still didn't have his bath this evening, for one).

Because books.

That's too bad, megan, but new job is still a total yay!

NILLY! Who thinks people might forget her. I'll be over here laughing. We love it whenever you can poke your head in, and boy, it's not like you're busy with a new baby or something. Oh wait, you totally ARE. Welcome!

I could understand the Hebrew caption on that one! There were two words there that I wouldn't have known a month ago. My studying is working!
