"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

So, I spent this weekend taking a hard look at my closet (as Pix should have done!) and am taking a couple of bags to Goodwill on the way to the market. I'm finally getting rid of things that probably should have gone long ago, those middle-of-the-road office items that weren't particularly flattering but filled out my wardrobe. New office can be jeans, but I'll need a few more professional outfits for client meetings.

Speaking of which, anybody have an HSA through work rather than standard insurance? If so, like it? hate it? I have a choice, but given the respective premiums and deductibles, the HSA coverage seems pretty comparable. From a budget perspective, I like the idea of HSA money carrying over into the future, but I don't have a deductible at all now so I've never had to think about it.

OMG This soccer game is KILLING ME.

Abby Wambach is my HERO. Well, Hope Solo is. Well, and Rapinoe. Wow, such a game.

Spoilers: US is down one player and yet scored the tying goal in the second-to-last minute of overtime, and now we're into a penalty-kick shootout! SO EXCITING.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I keep thinking of things I should be doing around the apartment, but I think some slipped extra lethargy into my coffee this morning, and I have the sneaking suspicion that none of them are going to get done.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Hec, I did not know all that stuff about Moses Gunn. Which, I suppose, is part of the point of the article. I don't know that it's been all that easy for Andre, though. Till the last few years, he'd basically been asked to play, you know, Frank Pembleton as a doctor, Frank Pembleton as a lawyer, in progressively crappier shows..."Men of A Certain Age" is about the first thing I've seen him in that's not that, and significantly was not written for him in mind, but "Treme's" Wendell Pierce. I'm so glad nobody said something douchey in the comments...I love those early episodes, in particular. Fontana is a better writer than a showrunner though...there is part of me that doesn't want to give him credit for how amazing that ep is because he tore the show up so much. But that particular episode is genius, because I always get sucked in like I've never seen it before and wind up thinking Tim is gonna get his man, and I don't mean porn. FYI, after umpteen viewings, I believe the arabber did it.

Oy. I'm rearranging my living room, which involves moving every item of furniture in it, including a piano and a sofa. I'm about 3/4 done, and my energy levels just flatlined. I can see the finish line from here, though. Maybe after a short break.

I cancelled the date I was supposed to have today. I explained about my shoulder and that I can't drive with the drugs I'm on and how loopy I am. His response? Okay. No feel better soon, or anything like that. Just Okay. I don't think I'll be rushing to reschedule this date. Drat it.
