"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I need your collective help. Topic: showerheads

I replaced the shower head on the shower today, but the shower head was dripping water even after it was turned off.

So I took the showerhead off and I noticed the pipe coming out of the water has a slow drip. Is it normal for this pipe to have a slow leak?

How much plumbing trouble am I potentially in?

It's not normal for that pipe to have a slow leak. Is it a separate shower or shower with a tub?

eta: My first thought is that it's in the hot/cold valves, which could be as little as the minimum plumber charge, to replace a seal.

Lokes just spent 3.5 hrs on the deck as Karen and I ate and drank and talked a lot. Why does he think he need to go back out there? Very nice evening. I adore Karen. She's good people.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I met erinaceous tonight! She finally learned my real name. She sends her best wishes.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I was at a bookstore yesterday and two women picked up her book (which I hadn't noticed on the table yet)! I told them it was awesome and they should buy it because it was awesome and so was the author.

I think they did.

Then I walked around looking for all of the books where I knew-ish the authors. It's a fun Buffista bookstore game.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Ugh. My garbage disposal is dead. I'm not really surprised, because it's always been kind of shitty. Need to replace. Ugh.

Yuck. Hopefully it died after disposaling and eating its last meal? I throw lemons down mine for stinkiness and then am glad I rent because I have no idea if that is an actual good idea for the machinery.

I should not be allowed to watch shows that try to meld science and the Apocalypse. Certainly not with Twitter access. Or maybe I should, but I should be given a drink first.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My disposal often seems like it's dying, but a little rest and/or using the big allen wrench in the bottom, and it's always come back. So far. It does seem like "they" say not to put practically everything down there.

It is lovely here, and I'm thinking about going to the beach, as opposed to doing anything useful, even though I'm currently peeling from my last trip.

it is a separate shower.

That makes it more likely that it's in the valves. It's probably a simple repair. Or it could be that the whole assembly needs to be replaced and some handyman in your home's past made a renovation that means that a wall has to be opened.

Signed, Most of What I Know about Plumbing Comes from Unpleasant Experience

There was dog hysteria and I ran out to see two dogs that obviously belonged to someone. By the time I could get out to the front, they were too far down the sidewalk for me to catch up. Thinking of Sass, I wish I knew someway to broadcast their location.
