Thanks all. Been doing what I usually do on a saturday, with extra phone calls. May have a couple neighbors come over for wine after sunset. Too damned hot now. And I haven't been to TJs so it'll just be wine, I have no munchies.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

How the eff is Drew Lachey rich? I mean, 98 Degrees? How does that carry you through your life being rich.

Good financial management?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Apparently! I'm just still confused by what/how our culture values things monetarily. I feel like being a minor pop star should not be that lucrative.

Because books.

I forgot there *is* a Drew Lachey.

I guess if you invest well when you first make it, it works out?

They do make a shit-ton of money. It just usually gets fleeced away by shady manager types. If he had (a) an honest manager; (b) a financial manager to help him invest it, and; (c) didn't blow it on hookers and blow then he should be sitting pretty.

That's my friend Karen's work! She's awesome.

Bleh. We have been househunting today, and it is super hot and gross out and we've only found a couple houses we like, and they're both in kind of crappy neighborhoods. Sigh. I love our current neighborhood! I just wish we could afford to rent an actual house here, and not an apartment with college kids smoking pot and watching TV all night living below us.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

So tired. I got up this morning and picked up my CSA, then rearranged the entire refrigerator to fit it all. Did dishes. Picked up prescriptions from the pharmacy. Picked up my new eyeglasses, and since I was already downtown, went shopping at Macy's and Sephora. Then went to the grocery store. Now I'm doing laundry. It's almost 90 and I walked over five miles.

I need food. And a nap.

I think he also works on Extra or Inside Edition, one of those crappy entertainment shows.

Happy Birthday sarameg and Sox!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I went to the office for a couple of hours. In the afternoon I went with the DH to Fry's--an odd little electronics chain in the LA area. We were at this one [link] so we got to make our way through alien carnage as we shopped. They had a refurbished Dyson's vac for $169, which seemed like an awesome deal as our current vacuum just died.
