We have to see the chimp playing hockey! That's hilarious! The ice is so slippery, and, and monkeys are all irrational. We have to see this!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

serial:

Woman cheating on mentally disabled husband. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I'd have to live it to know.

Because books.

A parent at the school where my mom works is in a situation like that. Her husband was in an accident that left him brain-damaged and mentally about six years old. He's at home because he can do basic self-care, but I can't imagine what that's like.

I can't imagine what it must be like to be with someone who's fundamentally not who you married, but can never understand that, much less marriage itself.

Why do I keep getting Pepsi/Coke taste test spam? Is there anyone in America who doesn't know which they prefer, if they care?

PS: Pepsi is nasty.

Art Crawl!!!

I prefer neither Pepsi nor Coke.

Interesting piece comparing the Casey Anthony case to the Karen Murphy case. (I hadn't actually heard of the Karen Murphy case prior to reading this.) I have to say that her reaction to finding her child seems more what you would expect.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

A family friend's wife had fairly early onset Alzheimer's disease and he cared for her for years until he had to put her in a nursing facility. During that time, he became close with a neighbor who was 10-15 years younger. I don't really wish to know about the sex lives of my parents' friends, but they married when his wife died. His health began declining and she took care of him for a decade or so. His children wouldn't speak to her and tried to cut her out of the will.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Really? I think Pepsi is sweeter. Coke is more acidic. Coke all the way.

Coding and Sleeping

Diet: Pepsi, though Coke Zero isn't bad.

Regular: I'm with P-C.

I'm actually cool with Coke Zero, too. I can't do Diet Coke, but Coke Zero is perfectly drinkable and makes me feel like I am doing less damage to my body.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

coke helps clean corroded car battery contacts. anything that caustic is something I need to consume on a regular basis!
