Okay! Then I should try to see you!
And yes, we do. Although they may not be there by then either, because they're currently looking for a bus they can convert into a house. I'm trying to sucker them into coming out west.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

We could do a Buffista thing, with Ginger, right? Who else is in range? It's be November. Week before Thanksgiving, I think. I'll have to check.
Nashville's only four hours away! I would totally drive down to Atlanta to see Buffistas. Unless that's the weekend of my cousin's wedding.
Somebody called Art of the Cookie started following me on Twitter (I don't know why - I rarely tweet) so I went to his/her/their website and it's lovely - chockful of pretty cookies.
Want cookie!
Atlanta F2F! I'll be going to Nashville for Thanksgiving, but the earliest I'd leave would be Tuesday. I'm going to figure out how to get together with Kate one of these trips.
Ginger, I'd love to get together sometime when you're in town! Since our families are both elsewhere, DH and I are often out of town for the holidays, but I'm hoping we can do either Thanksgiving or Christmas in Nashville this year.

I am watching the Tattersalls sale and they're selling the horses in "guineas" - is a guinea a particular no. of pounds?
Traditionally, a pound was 20 shillings, a guinea 21. Not sure what it is with decimal currency.
Basically, it's a little more than a pound with more class.
eta: Whistler had a dispute with someone who commissioned something - the Peacock Room - over whether he would be paid in pounds (as you'd pay a tradesman) or in guineas.
You pay the auction house in Guineas. They pay the seller in Pounds. This gives them 5% commission.
