He has always wanted to be a fireman. With ARP, he is getting to explore He is loving it so far, though he is tired. Not much makes him tired, so this is good.
We have quite a thunderstorm going on. So far we don't have rain, but the thunderclaps have been continuous for the last 15 minutes. It is amazing.
Raisins have ruined the oatmeal cookie.
Huh, apparently Utah is in its monsoon season. I never thought of us as being the kind of place that gets monsoons, as high humidity to us is 30-40% and there's a lack of rain forests nearby.
But it is the season of tropical moisture migrating our way and the extreme afternoon thunderstorem.

Yowza. That thunderstorm I mentioned? The rain swept in so fast - it is absolutely bucketing now. And the big trees outside my patio were bending with the wind. I have never seen them bend like that before. My, my, my.
Chocolate Chips however make oatmeal cookies awesome.
Chocolate chips in oatmeal cookies are the devil, because they set my expectations up for raisins, and then (obviously) the taste and texture are totally different from what I expect.
Brownies are awesome with chocolate chips. You get a variation in texture.
That's what nuts are for! Save chips for oatmeal cookies, which need them in place of raisins
