Compassionately intolerant

Ugh. I wish I'd been around to support Zenkitty, but of course Buffista wisdom is awesome.

Learning how to deal with manipulative behavior like that made life a lot easier for me. Rather than trying to figure out if I'd misled the other person, or wondering about their motives, I started focusing on what is right for me. Period.

Discomfort is discomfort, regardless of the intention on either side.

Regardless of whether signals were missed as harmless flirting turned into aggressive behavior, the behavior was inexcusably intrusive on that guy's part.

Not to get too deep into it, but this pushes my 'You can dress however you like' button. It can't be your fault when the other person steps over a line.

I don't care if this guy lives the porn film life where the characteristic boom-chicca-bow-bow soundtrack plays in the background and lonely women invite him to check their 'vents,' He's a professional who is there to do a job.

Please Zen, when you are ready, write to the company. As others said with more eloquence, he should not be putting anyone, much less you, in this position.

Bah!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've got Liberty Mutual, and I'm not going to be around to get my mail for a few weeks. I've got to submit the forms to renew my car registration within the next few days, I think -- I can't find the form that gives all of that information. I guess I'll call Liberty Mutual about it. I don't like phones.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I don't like phones either, Hil, but this is a phone call time.

not your mom's socks.

Hil, are you doing Pa registration? If so, And you're doing it online, just put in next year.

I say this assuming you'll renew your insurance, of course. And I've mentioned that I boggle at the Pa DMV? Because I totally do.

But is it the same policy number?

It is with ours. If your insurance policy number might change from year to year, probably best to call.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Your insurance policy number should be the same year to year as long as you're with the same company. Even if you let it expire, when they reinstate it, the policy number should be the same.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Hil,

I have auto-renew with my insurance company and they take it out of the checking account. They only thing they do is send me registration id cards every year or 1/2 a year. I have paid monthly on my policy ever since I had a car even though the premium is reported as 6 month.

I'm all about setting up access to accounts online even if I don't pay through the web (though I mostly do now, but still get paper bills.)

I'm addicted to public radio long-format/thematic storytelling programs. Snap Judgement, The Story, TAL, Moth, Stoop, The Signal. It's something PR does damned well.
