Thanks Typo! I am really annoyed that I defrosted these, as I really don't want to cook. It isn't even that hot, but my stove/oven is centralized in my apartment and heats the whole thing up.

No way to fake it - I was supposed to be increasing every other row and I didn't understand the symbol on the chart (obviously). This process is complicated by the exciting yarn manangement problems I've been having - involving having to break the yarn in a couple of places.
