'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

There is something WRONG with me.

I wish something were wrong with me. That way, I mean.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have the list of things I want to get done today written.

Now I just need to start doing some of them.

Because books.

My list is still in my head, but it's there. And I finally feel human again.

Blueberry bread is one item on the agenda.

Perkins, I was just thinking of you and the Fourth of July, and smiling very happily.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm a pathological morning person

I am so much that way as well. I'm usually up by five. If I 'sleep in' until seven, I feel like I've wasted half the morning.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I am on internet embargo (except for here) until Wimbledon finishes taping.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I used to be able to stay up until 3 or 4 a.m. on the weekends and then sleep until noon, but no longer. Now, I'm falling asleep on the couch by 10 or 11 and then up by 6 at the latest. Already today, I've taken my last batch of Goodwill donations done to the car, gone for my swim, come home and bleached the hairs on my face (they're not as bad as they were before the weight loss, but I still need to make them invisible), and put together my fruit salad for my friend's 4th of July Parade party this afternoon. All I have to do is stop by the grocery store and pick up some whipped cream, and then slice up the bananas right before serving. I've still got about 90 minutes before I have to leave, so I'm having my breakfast now (Greek yogurt) and then will do some cross-stitch before leaving.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I was up around 7ish and plowed through, literally, 80% of all the dishes and silverware we own, made coffee, and got started on the community activism website. But, ugh, it still needs a ton of work, and there are some really discouraging other sites out there saying vile things about us, and I also just finished a 10-page personal statement yesterday but haven't heard back from any of my betas yet; I feel all twitchy and feedback-whorish and like I can't do anything until they ANSWER ME ALREADY.

And I have to hop in the shower and get Matilda and myself dressed for church and the East Bay.

Awww, and Matilda's now lobbying to go back to "the big church" again; when I told her it made me too sad, she said, "I'll be there with you, silly! And if you get scared, I'll hold your hand."
