The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

OPI Ink is awesome, but not sparkly.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I really enjoyed these posts - recasting fandoms with actors of color: [link] Several links from there to follow.

If ONLY Vanessa Williams had played Emma Frost in the latest Xmen. Except then that would have contributed to the number of CoC as evil/dead .

I ETA Jason Momoa as Hank McCoy? YES PLEASE.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, man, Zen, that's a quandary. I hope your neighbor checks her voicemail and can contact the catsitter or something.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Ink's like, practically a neutral. I own two bottles of it.

Also, congrats, Megan!

Zen, that fear, along with that of locking myself out, is why I have at least 4 keys floating around with my neighbors. Between us, I think we could get into half the block. Actually, more than half.

If you don't hear back, and don't have a landlord to call, you might ask the other neighbors, before the cops/locksmith route. And you might case the place to see if you can get it with minor damage without the locksmith and look for keys inside. I one removed a door windowpane to get into my apartment in college. I know how to glaze windows, so it was easy to fix.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Man, I think I've spent most of today trying to be outwardly pleasant while secretly seething with hatred inside.

The status is NOT quo.

Whee, Megan!!! There shall be celebrating, oh yes.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Zen, is there a landlord who can let you in?

No landlord.

Failing that, can you call a locksmith and the police (to explain that yes, you are supposed to have access to the house)?

Yes, but... total last resort! I guess I'm scared that the key is somewhere that should be "obvious" (like, "Oh, didn't you see it in the trash bin? hahaha") and I'll be basically breaking into my neighbor's house.

Kelly is as isolated from the other neighbors as I am. She doesn't like them; can't imagine she'd give them a key. Her house is exactly like mine, and thus I can't get in without actually breaking glass.

I'm going to wait until tomorrow to panic. Maybe Kelly will call me back. The cats are not going to starve in less than two days. (This is why I'm so paranoid when I go away. Somebody you trust does something stupid, like forget to leave the goddam keys. I don't even know who the catsitter is.)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

A reasonably healthy cat will NOT starve. They'll be pissed, that is about all.

Ink's like, practically a neutral.

Right? Like black. It's a neutral.

Mostly I hoped there was something really sparkly and purple and I didn't know about it yet. Though I might be set for ridiculous purple sparkly right now.

Loki's visiting next door. He was hanging with her on the deck, but then began clawing at the door to go in. Cracks me up how much he loves to go a-calling.
