It's like, in the middle of all this, I'm paranoid that you'll think I don't like poetry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

WOO HOO, megan!!

I'm going to say, I don't think John Cusak is good-looking, but Llloyd Dobler is explicitly designed to make the heart (of the teenage girl) throb. I mean, seriously.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Thanks everyone! I look forward to not spending all my free time job searching and actually interacting with the other non-interviewing humans.

Just talked to ex-boss (actual boss, who has never talked to me about now being my boss, is out today) and she seemed sincerely happy for me, which was nice considering that the brunt of my work will fall on her. She was a really bad manager, but she did really fight for me over the last 10 months or so and basically told the Powers-That-Be that this would happen sooner or later.

Now, off to Pasadena to celebrate with Pix and ND!

ION, I had a really successful trip to the $100 store (aka Target) this afternoon. Got everything on my list, and hardly anything else! And I did spend $100, but I got a shirt, two bags, a camp chair, and a bunch of drugstore stuff.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Megan, congrats! so happy for you!

Holli, I posted in flickr about which dresses I'd love to know more about it.

It's 100 degrees of misery here. The kids (yes both of them!) were in the yard playing in the sprinklers (and with hula hoops). Who knew that a girl with a trache would use her swimsuit so much?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

That's AWESOME, Kat.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay megan! Congratulations!

I am hating the heat only because we've been running errand midtown, but for this visual? It's all worth it. So cute! I want pics.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

This could be bad. My neighbor is in Spain for three weeks with her boyfriend. She hired a catsitter for the first couple weeks, but asked me to look after her cats for the last week, beginning today. I went over there last week to check on them, because I hadn't heard anyone going in, and they were fine; when I went back the next day, the key was not where it was supposed to be. No worries, I figured the catsitter took it with her. Today, though, there's still no key in the hidey place, or anywhere else I can see. I don't have Neighbor's email. She hasn't answered the message I left on her voicemail. (Granted, she's n vacation and it's only just been today.) I left a note on her door asking the catsitter to come see me, just in case she's still coming around. I saw one of the cats through the patio door and she seemed quite fine, so there's that, but fuck, what do I do? The cats need to be fed and I can't get into the house. Panic.

Our wings are not tired.

So cute! I want pics.

This.

Jesse, have fun at the beach!!

It goes without saying that I am beyond superfragicalously happy for one megan walker. SOOOOO frakking envious about the L.A. trip, too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's it. I'm outie. I'm going to *try* an internet meetup. Good good. This can only end in tears.
