The lying to clients thing is what strikes me as the most egregious - surely if a client complained about this, the higher-ups would have to take notice, right?
You would think. But the clients don't know they're being lied to.
I have a "public" spreadsheet that shows the status and priorities of my projects, and indicates who owns the current task. She's tagged for all her work. This thing has been updated regularly for two years now, and has had no discernable effect on her behavior, or her treatment.
I can't take my work away from her (much as I would love to) because she's been designated the Subject Matter Specialist for my program.
