My main email and my LJ ID are the name of a character I created for Star Wars fanfic 30 years ago (or more? I don't want to count it up). In other places, it's my real name (as here), or initials and my real last name.
My passwords are all characters from fanfics few people have read, so I think they're safe.

I used my real name on Prodigy (informally - my username was aqjn24a or something like that), and then picked up Persephonemoon for a pagan listserv way back when and also on TT. I went back to my real name on WX. Most places that aren't here I go by Alterjess.

When I first went online, Salon was supercrazy about you using your real name. I gradually adopted an internet personality. I'm only vortex here, but sowilo (or some variation thereof) everywhere else.
