Can't recall how you know her. Utne? College? All a blur, and freaking odd to have that sorta-unconnection connect with lisah et al. Or not weird, as the world is small (one of lisah's dad's boyscouts was one of my dad's grad students. And that is not the only odd crossed-path there.)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I think a cuddle party could be nice. I think an orgy could be nice. I'd likely give either one a try.

Bars not so much unless I'm there with a pack of friends, but I've been trying that shit for years.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

In college we had parties that often wound up halfway between a cuddle party and an orgy. But we all knew each other before swapping hugs and/or spit.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Between theatre and krav, I'm okay with the premise of bodily contact. I've spent a lot of time straddling strangers and dripping my sweat on them in public. I've grabbed my fair share of acquaintance nuts.

But cuddling? That's like a thing. I'll roll with just about anyone, but not snuggle.

And, luckily, the last inappropriate wrestling boner I've been...exposed to was many years ago. Many many.

I think I would actually enjoy a cuddle party.

I loathe the idea so much.

I am anti-cuddle as a rule. Which is odd given that I adore it with certain, specific and accepted people.

But the idea of strangers cuddling? I would be less skeeved if it were just flat out sex. That can be less personal, honestly.

I am pro-Peterson Auto Museum though. Mmm, cars. And I am okay lusting (in my heart) after stranger's cars.

Cass! I was thinking about you the other day. Are you watching the US Top Gear? Can I watch it? Will I like the car porn? Or will I just be all sadface about it not being the British Top Gear? I will not try until you give me the sign.

It's got Tanner Foust who I kinda love from Battle of the Supercars with Paul Tracy. They bantered and it was totally car porn.

So Tanner is one of the hosts and I kinda am already a fan of his...

The car things I've seen on it are amusing. And I watched the first ep with my mom who is so not a car person and she laughed her head off most of the time.

The Stig is ... well, it's not my Stig. But I will admit to a massive crush on UK Stig v2. So I accept the new Stig but have no naughty feelings toward them.

It's not the UK version because there is no way it ever could be. But I like it so far. And I didn't think I would.

OH! If you watch, make sure you catch the ep with the drifting competition. It's one of the first few. The guys challenge each other but because Tanner is a drifting champion, he gets a student instead of being able to compete himself. A blind comedian. I'm not the thinnest skin, but I am decently aware I think and I laughed my ass off during that segment. No motts at all.

Yeah, watch it. You might not love it, but it's not time wasted. And, hey, you might like it as much as I have so far.

As is only right and good. I haven't seen the US Top Gear yet. Probably won't have a chance to take it for a spin until after Yuletide.

I told them I was interested in finding work, and that I did have a prospect I was working on. The agency person said "Oh, we can help with a vendor position! Let me talk to someone!"

So...can you say "actually, I'd really love to hear from you on (non-vendor) positions"? Or is it that they have vendor connections you'll just want if the other thing falls through?
