And what's with all the carrots?

Condolences to you and your family, Matt.

health~ma to Steph

Our city now has it's first TJ's! We stocked up on some lunch items (fajitas, pesto tortellini, lunch meat, fish, joe-joe cookies, etc.), had mandarin orange chicken and the thai steamer rice for dinner-yum. What are some must-try items?

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

What are some must-try items?

Pub cheese (spreadable cheddar, like Kakahuana, or however it's spelled)
Thai lime rice (unless that's what you meant by "Thai steamer rice")
Cafe twists cookies
Bean & rice burritos
Edamame crackers
Spanakopita
Sweet potato fries
Guacamole hummus

Librarian Warlord

Sassafras is on her way back to the vet. Her daycare called and said she was lying in the corner drooling. Poor pup. My poor DH is taking her in because he's closer and can get her there faster, but if she needs surgery she'll have to go to the other animal hospital.

Thanks for the suggestions!

We tried the Thai jasmine--very yummy and fluffy. I was afraid it would be dried out, but am just learning about the miracle of steamer packets.

Their frozen edamame is the cheapest in town--I will try the crackers and the rest.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sending get well vibes to Steph and Sass.

The 4th grade class has been having a variety of fundraisers to raise money to take the whole class to Sacramento. Today's was homemade tamales. So now I have an extra yummy breakfast.

Art Crawl!!!

What do you think? - Australian Cattle Dog crossed with Rat Terrier?

Or are the owners convinced it's a Cattle Dog cross because it's a blue merle?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

TJs is great for partially prepared items, like the precooked lentils (buy the ones in the regular aisle, they have a better texture than the refrigerated kind). We love the margarita pizza and the breaded tilapia too. And the seaweed. mmm, the seaweed.
