Potato chip water?

Picking up trash. Chip bags (it's a chronic issue with kids walking to school. I'm tempted to put out a trash can, but it'd disappear.) It's been raining. Potato chip water. Yes, I was grossed out.

IT NEVER DIED. YOU JUST LOST FAITH.

Hah! PINK GINGHAM JUNTA FOREVER! POWER TO THE PEOPLE.

I still wear the shirt pretty regularly, fwi. I never lost the faith!

sara, sorry that my kids got you sick. Also, you were a week late for the luminarias! [link]

I KNOW.

All told, the cold is passing pretty quick. I probably am less cranky about it than Grace. And the worst at least waited until I was home and could just sleep. Hope Noah and y'all skipped it.

Figure I get a cold once or twice a year (last I can remember was Jan or Feb. Had to cancel a dentist appt and then there was snow.) It probably bucks up my immune system.

If I go take a nap now, what do you think the chances are I'll be awake at 9:00 to watch SPN?

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Went online last week to xmas shop. Ordered a quilted flannel shirt for my dad at JC Penney and a separate one for me at Shepler's. Still waiting for the JC Penney. Amazon sure spoils me as far as my expectations. But what sucks is that Shepler's wrote back to say they were sold out. I hate sites like that. If you were sold out, why was I able to buy it on your site? Inventory control, people!

I'm looking around and not seeing cheap quilted flannels that I like well enough. I suppose I could try to sew one but I've already got a pretty deep pile of sewing projects and haven't even set up my sewing machine here (or, rather, it's covered with clutter because it's a horizontal surface).

I had started a bit on a project to make a Baroque riding habit. That one is really involved but not event-sensitive. I have a Regency event I've bought tix for in January and would like to sew something to wear so I don't have to show up in street clothes. And I still haven't finished sewing soutache on my velvet Monte Carlo cape and then sewing the lining in. Probably have a load of mending to do as well. Like my favorite flannel shirt (it's red and white like an Italian restaurant tablecloth) has worn through in the shoulder so I need to fix that somehow. And sew up a rip in my pareo.

The shoes: [link] (most likely, not going for open toes in this temp.) The earrings (the opalescence goes with purple): [link] The dress (better on a person, over-exposed for detail): [link]

I like dressup time!

So, here's Grace's sartorial allusion to Jilli via Hanna Andersson.

I have a raging headache. I have to proctor SATs tomorrow. I wonder if these two things are related?

Love the shoes, sara. Can't wait to see a pic of you in dress.
