Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I have a giant box of nail polish!

YAY! I hope you find polish joy in there!

There is one ziplock containing one polish labeled for Burrell because I am ass lazy and hadn't mailed it to her all year. So it went in the box.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Great picture! So cute.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

All your bitter veggies are belong to me!! I love bitter greens, the more astringent the better. Arugula, mizuna, broccoli rabe, all of 'em. Nom nom nom.

Is there such a thing as a supertaster for sweets? Because almost any amount of sugar is too much for me, and I love anything bitter and acidic. Whenever I make lemonade, I have to make extra simple syrup because the way I like it makes other people wince and then ask if I forgot to add sugar.

OTOH, I'm having a pizza for dinner tonight because I'm home alone with Dylan and thought it would be nice if I didn't spend all of mealtime telling him to stop whining. So I got pizza dough & stuff from WF and we made dinner together. Olives are kind of a vegetable, right? (Normally I'd raid the salad bar for precut veggies to use as toppings, but it was a total mob scene tonight.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yep, I saw it. I may possibly have pulled everything out and plan to go through it while reviewing yuletide source.

Thanks, guys! We had some fun doing it. Owen hasn't asked for any yet but it's only a matter of time.

Plus, the nail polish box involves packing things! I love packing things. Except my house.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I am Jessica on bitter. But I am definitely a subtaster, because I also love sour! And sweet! And hot! Nom.

It's so...shiny.

Yay polish! I was just idly wondering where the box was. I bought the tiny little "goth" marketed OPI set over the holiday, which came with a cheesy elastic lace cuff, and am getting ready to try out the Nevermore. I didn't realize the Obscure was matte so now I'm excited about that too.
