And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I missed breakfast, so I had an egg sandwich for lunch. It was very satisfying. I love eggs from our local egg lady. They're so different looking, all of them! One of mine was giant and pointy today. I probably could have just used the one. And there are some speckled ones!

Anyway, I didn't eat because I was spending the morning scrambling around getting the SO ready for his sound gig, but now I can't remember what work I was starting to do when he interrupted. And hey, extra $300, so there's no bad there. Plus, bonus, I now have peppy Christmas music to listen to while I work, even though it's now going to be a late day.

But first I think I'm going to go outside and haul firewood. I kept meaning to do it yesterday and then it was suddenly after dark. I don't know how that happened. It may have been me perusing BSG board game rulebooks ad infinitum. You know, just possibly. But anyway, it's very overcast now, so I need to do it before it snows if it's going to. And then I can haz fire! And peppy Christmas music. And work.

Ooh! There's a flock of mountain bluebirds outside my office window! Dang, I knew I should have gotten the feeder ready.

I am hanging out in the airport. And my lunch was InandOut. Burger and fries. Which wouldn't be so bad except I do it too often. And since breakfast involved a scone along with the latte...

Also, someone above mentioned clementines. Which I love. But annoyingly in Seattle, all the boxes of small orange fruits are satsumas. Which don't taste the same.

information libertarian

Our neighbor brought us a big bag of "Mississippi Satsumas" from when he went to his family's for Thanksgiving. They were more like tangerines than anything, but sweet and juicy and delicious.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Satsumas are what I grew up with. I like clementines, but they don't quite hit the spot the way satsumas do.

Does hard cider count as a serving of fruit?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I grew up with ortaniques. You should all have grown up with ortaniques.

The pear cider I bought from TJs is highly disappointing. So much cinnamon it doesn't taste like pears anymore.

I have been freaking out about this meeting with my boss all day, and I don't know where he is.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I wish I had a clementine. And a root.

I am feeling SO LAZY, but I have to go out! Out for delicious Ethiopian food.
