Congrats Erin and SuziQ on accomplishments!
I finally woman'd up and made some bill-paying phone calls. When I opened one bill and saw $1,900, I nearly had a coronary. Luckily, they made a mistake in submitting it to Medicare so there's a chance it will be covered this time around. But I'm feeling good that I opened the bills and dealt with things. None of the bills was older than a week but it's an easy task for me to put off. And most of the news was good.
Oh, oh, oh - and I found Pumpkin Spice Egg Nog. Nom!
We have that in our fridge! I have to cut it with milk b/c it's too thick, but man, it is tasty!
Having looked on CL to see what I can afford to rent in the East Bay on $400, I sympathize with this recent grad in Beijing who built himself an egg-shaped temp shelter out of bamboo and burlap. [link]
I would like to go on the record that I loathe AT&T with the heat of 10,000 suns.
Get in line. I've been swearing that I wouldn't piss on AT&T if it was on fire since at least 1992.
My house smells of chocolate, dulce de leche and cinnamon and such. Mmmm. I think I need to work to make them prettier, though.
Mmm, sarameg. Yum. I'm glad you feel better.
Spidra, that's an awful shock about the bill. I hope you get it resolved soon.
I had a French dip and it was OMG so good. I am on the Standing All Day/Not Eating Except for Snatched Bites diet and exercise plan. Woo, I know my thighs will be more toned by Xmas! But I can tell my kness are getting OLD.
Cookies: goddamn, they're rich. I tried 4 using coconut cream, but they were a disappointment. The cookie needs something equally as substantial to hold up against the chocolate/cinnamon/cayenne, and the coconut is (shockingly) too delicate. Dulce de leche really makes the cookie.
Holy crap, that sounds good.
It puts my instant jell-o chocolate pie to shame.
