Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

I remember scooting rapidly away from the conversation once when she brought up wanting to start a matchmaking thing at some party. Heh. Cannot escape her reach.

Cannot escape her reach.

Nope! heh. She has made some really good matches, though. for real. There are babies here today because of her matchmaking skills!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

The Five Stages of Grading for those among us who grade... hilarious!

I've seen that before. It hits way too close to home for me.

But hey! Grading is done! Until the next batch comes in on Friday anyway, but that's the last paper set of the semester.

I think the good chocolate (seriously, that stuff smelled amazing) and cinnamon and pepper would be fine.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I get my first essay someone else taught to tomorrow. I expect to hit all of these stages this weekend.

New job is great; I am busier than heck, tired and my legs hurt (getting teaching legs back literally and metaphorically, but actually leg pain, yo.)

Being a replacement 2 weeks before Xmas break, when the kids have been with subs for a month...it's, um, challenging! Cramming a summer of prep into 12 school days of between holiday breaks ennui.

I am sticking my head in here a couple of times a day, but mostly running around like a crazy chicken (and my car's getting fixed and tagged, so I get rides from D, which means I get there at 6:15 and leave at 4, then go home and work for 4 hours... ZOMG, fried!)

But good!

OK, must feed cats and do...something not housework or schoolwork for 45 minutes before bed?

I'm so happy you got the job, Erin, as tiring as the adjustment is.

(I am happy to be tired from working!)

(not really here, no RILLY.)

oh, before I forget: msbelle, I am sorry your day was so sucky. Hope tomorrow is better.

bye for reals.
