"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

My sister just texted me asking to buy my 11yo nephew a Kindle.

Want to buy the sony e-reader that my mother bought me for Christmas last year that I've never taken out of the box?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

he has "a beautiful brain and a good heart",

OF COURSE HE DOES.

to which I responded, of course, that it's just like his soon-to-be-father.

Not to take anything away from your wonderful Khusband, but I can think of another one of his parents who might have some influence on those qualities...

SO MANY CONGRATULATIONS and blessings and great happiness to you!! Yay!!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

On our way between the Art Institute and brenda, we stopped by the Barnes & Noble, as one does, where I skipped ahead two books in the Pratchett buying campaign to buy Hogfather, as seasonally appropriate.

While there we put our hands on both the Nook color and the original. The color was fail, rife with errors, and I didn`t really like it anyway. But both I and the DH liked the original a lot, to the point where he`s saying if I don`t ask for it for Christmas, he will. Although I think he has visions of reducing my endless bookshelves and I don`t know if that`s happening. We`ll be looking for a refurb, though.
