Buffy? I like that. That girl's so hot, she's buffy.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It was so good to see Liese, and meet her DH, and we had great conversation about holidays and families and travel and dogs and architecture and whathaveyou.

This is my favorite part of us. I love our buffista conversations! And since without buffistas, this would have been a dull stuck in the hotel day and instead it was a stellar Art Institute, hangout with peeps day, I echo the sentiment about how much richer my life is for having all y'all in it for the last decade.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Woman Claims to Own the Sun

Angeles Duran, a woman from Spain, has laid claim to the Sun. She argues that there’s no international law to prevent her action:

Angeles Duran, 49, told the online edition of daily El Mundo she took the step in September after reading about an American man who had registered himself as the owner of the moon and most planets in our solar system.

There is an international agreement which states that no country may claim ownership of a planet or star, but it says nothing about individuals, she added.

“There was no snag, I backed my claim legally, I am not stupid, I know the law. I did it but anyone else could have done it, it simply occurred to me first.”

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

As Eddie Izzard would say - does she have a flag?

Because books.

As Eddie Izzard would say - does she have a flag?

I just hope she's ready to take on the upkeep.

Punishingly Intricate

Thanks to you people talking about Vamp lipstick last night, I made an LJ post searching for it. One of my friends has two barely-used tubes that she is trading me for perfume!

Yay!! Glad my wedding related panic had a positive affect in the world. (Or effect..OMG I've lost my ability to grammar!)

I ended up getting the Chanel Vamp replacement, Rouge Noir. I put it on and my bridal committee member who was with me said YES THAT ONE. I can't believe I spent $30 on lipstick. It better get me laid! heh.

I'm still worried about my chapped lips (I had a total meltdown about them last night. sheesh) but I am hydrating and I'm using that neosporin Kathy recommended and I did a sugar scrub (gently) on them yesterday. Hoping that all works!

Now, will someone please help me write my vows?

ETA

And vibing for Kathy's surgery!

Yes! This!!
