And if we are? I highly rec lipstick shopping with Jilli. As soon as you hear her mutter, "brown," you can just hold out your hand. Works really well and is apparently funny to watch.
It's a system that does seem to work for us.
Jilli, could you rec me a good dark bright red? I currently mix one with Mac Photo and someone's Persian Tapestry,
NARS Scarlet Empress. If you don't put it over a wine lipliner (which is what I do when I wear it), it's a nice deep, but bright, red. (When I wear it without wine lipliner, Pete does the headtilt at me and tells me my lipstick looks oddly light.)

I have a hard time finding the right pinky-purpley-brownish lipstick. I have a couple of lipglosses, some of which are very good, some of which are too much of one of the above (I have a very purpley lipgloss, and a very pinkybrowny one, but I would really like a lipstick).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
One of those quick start nights at the ER. I've only been sitting five to ten minutes when a nurse comes in to find a line. And she does find it, third time around, in a really painful spot. Normally they don't go looking for a line until I've been examined by both a nurse and a doctor.
But now's the lull. No meds until a doctor sees me, access notwithstanding. And some procedure is being done elsewhere. Who knows what that will imply.

I think they've reformulated the color, but this was my One True Everyday Lipstick for a long time. Bobbi Brown's Moonlight Rose is a decent (and slightly darker) substitute.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
No one cares, but I just remembered that what I wore instead of Vamp was MAC Film Noir -- just brown and black, not red at all. I'm with you, Burrell, in wondering when and why I stopped wearing lipstick.
kinda of like poppers mixed with tots, dipped in ranch. Man, they were good.
Holy crap, that sounds like the ultimate snack food.
