Erin, you are not going to believe how awesome it is to teach somewhere with actual resources (see tag, a la Simpsons).YAYS!
amych:
the fact that it comes from a place called "Rods.com" doesn't really help, does it?No, no, it really doesn't.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Your tagline is so true!
Pix, you are gonna hate me (Kat, too) because I will be burning up the intertubes with teachery stuff!
I cleaned behind my desk. That involved moving most of the furniture in the study, and a lot of cruft had fallen behind there, and a cat had done a Bad Thing back there, too. Then I fixed up the window feeder so that I can start feeding the birds (and entertaining the cats again)....
Erin, I repeats from Twitter: yahoo! I am so happy for you!
Yays for Erin and Sophia.
I will not even be surprised any more if it starts to rain frogs. My grandmother's water heater leaked and flooded parts of her house. It's apparently not so bad, as floods in your house go.
To be honest, I actually get paid significantly less than I would if I taught at most LA public schools, but the resources I have at hand and small class sizes are totally worth the trade off, for me.
Congratulations Erin!
We went out for the morning, and then we had to swing by grandma's to pick up the car. I haven't graded a lick yet today. Must rectify that immediately.
YAY ERIN!!!!
I wanted to get so much done today, but mac and I were having a good time, so I just did more things with him. I am happy with my decision. Now I am trying to find places for all the things and go through all the papers. WHY SO MUCH PAPER!
hooray for a good day with Mac!
Dana, insent.
Good day with mac, full-on yay!
Kristin, the high school I'll be teaching at has about 300 students; the campus is K-12, with big, separate wings for each level. Small class size is WONDERFUL; the teaching and assessment you can deliver is so much better.
Cleaning behind things is pretty scary, but it's so satisfying to know it's clean!
